Leeds Festival AFI Review

okay, I cannot remember the exact order of the setlist but here is a plus rating and a review of what went on:
+++++ (Out of 5 pluses=Top notch!!!)
It was an amazing show that words simply cannot describe. The first song they played was Girl's Not Grey, Davey wearing a white shirt and the crowd completley taken in, singing along to every word he sang enthusiastically. They closely followed GNG with The Leaving Song Pt.II, the whole band doing their best, though I believe Jade missed a note or two at the beginning, the crowd responding with the energy of a raging bull, and as the song ended Davey slipped and fell flat on his back. Jade went to help him up, but then Davey started talking into the microphone and Jade went back to stand by his microphone. Davey went 'Y'know' and then I believe he said something about being glad to be back. He then got up and then they went into Summer Shudder, the crowd yet again providing fantastic backing vocals for the chorus. I can't really remeber the order of the songs after that, I was way too busy partying along to the song s and singing (well screaming) along to davey's every word. Though I can tell you what other songs they played and the order of the final three. They played, Kill Caustic, which was amazing, Dancing Through Sunday was brilliant, Silver And Cold which was fantastic, Days Of The Phoenix was awesome, A Single Second was brilliant, and they also played Love Is A Many Slendored Thing. Now, the final three. They performed Love Like Winter flawlessly, Davey walking down the steps fom stage and walking along the barrier on Verse 2. He didn't come as far along as me though. He then announed Crash Love and the fact it was out inSeptember, then they played medicate, which the majority of the crowd seemed to have lost their voices for, though AFI played it flawlessly, though the vocals were a little quitet on the chorus. They then went into an absolutely daw dropping Miss Murder, the crowd regaining their voices with staggering force, particularly for the classic 'Behind!' at the end of the verses, ending the show on a wonderful high.

LEEDS FESTIVAL AFI: WHOPEE!!!

Hey, I'm going to see AFI at Leeds festival on Saturday 29Th August. I even know the time they're playing and how long for. Here is the evidence from when I added the show to my myspace calendar. If you can't make out the number above where it says a.f.i., it says: 20:00-21:00 which tells us that they will be onstage at 8pm GMT and go offstage at 9pm GMT, meaning that they will play for one hour. AFI european Festival Tour run kicks off today!!!

AFI are playing the frequency festival TODAY. this marks the start of the european festival run, and as it happens, I am going to the Leeds festival in the uk on Sat 29th to see AFI. I will post a song-by-song review of the show, and I will also try and get some pictures from my phone for you to have a look at. These pictures will be posted on my facebook and bebo. I will post links for them as soon as I have done the review.

On AFI's offical site, there is now a page when you first enter the site called 'AFI CRASH LOVE: TWEET TO REVEAL.
